Home Care Package funds are not paid directly to you. Instead, you choose an approved provider, like Allegiance Heart & Home Care, to manage your funds. The provider offers support, advice, and assistance in managing the allocated budget to ensure you receive the necessary services.
At Allegiance Heart & Home Care, you won't need to pay the Basic Daily Care Fee. However, if the Income-Tested Care Fee applies, you may be required to contribute to your care.

The Income-Tested Care Fee cannot be waived and applies regardless of your chosen provider. The government subsidy will be reduced by the amount of the income-tested fee.
A fee estimator is available on the My Aged Care website for more guidance. If you choose not to complete the income assessment, you may be asked to pay the maximum income-tested care fee.
Individuals with a Home Care Package may be eligible for additional funding, known as supplements. Each supplement has specific assessments and eligibility requirements. Please speak with your Care Coordinator for more information.

If you take leave from your home care services, please notify Allegiance Heart & Home Care with as much notice as possible. Your Home Care Package will be placed on hold during this period, and services cannot be delivered while the package is suspended.
